Imagine a mario clone with voxels. Now add a tilt-camera and seemingly never-ending
level and you’ve got A Voxel Action.
Graphics: neat & gets the job done, could use more variety though.
Sound: a lowpoint in the game – there isn’t any except for some basic sounds effects
Gameplay: Pretty cool but the special abilities that you gain are not used very much. At
the core you’ve got a platformer. The game would like to be an adventure but fails to
introduce new fresh concepts along the way. The control was alright except for the borked
ice-blocks. Took me right under 2 hours to finish.
Replayability: just a bit. Needs to be much larger with more things to do. The connected level
design has some drawbacks for example: falling off a ledge and spending five minutes
climbing back up.
Potential: this could be a favorite but it needs way more stuff to do. There is also
nothing to break up the action once in a while. Overall good design and implementation.
Special Note: I liked this game even if it is receiving a somewhat low score.
